Volunteer Opportunities
NAMI SMC began from a group of dedicated parents who came together to find help and treatment for their children. From those earliest days, volunteers have been the heart of our mission, showing up for their neighbors, their families, and their community. That founding spirit is very much alive today, and we are always looking for passionate people to carry it forward.
Whether you have an hour or a regular weekly or monthly commitment, your time and skills can make a real difference in the lives of those affected by mental health conditions.
There are many ways to get involved:
- Class Instructors: Share your knowledge by teaching our evidence-based mental health education courses and help equip individuals and families with tools that can change their lives.
- Presenters & Speakers: Use your voice to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and spark meaningful conversations about mental health in schools, workplaces, and beyond.
- Facilitators: Walk alongside individuals and families on their mental health journey by leading support groups and programs that offer real, hands-on connection and care.
- Event & Office Support: Be the backbone of our work by helping with community events and day-to-day operations that keep NAMI SMC moving forward.
Full role descriptions are available after you complete our volunteer interest form.
