Eating Disorder Awareness Week Panel Discussion
Recording Available Below
On Wednesday, February 25, in honor of Eating Disorder Awareness Week, NAMI hosted our first-ever Eating Disorder Panel Discussion. The conversation featured three incredible guests who shared powerful insights through their lived experience with eating disorders. We heard three unique journeys, united by a common goal: raising awareness about the non-linear nature of recovery and what meaningful, compassionate support truly looks like.
On the panel, we discussed:
• Personal journeys with eating disorders
• Barriers to seeking help
• The non-linear process of recovery
• Common myths and misconceptions
• The role of friends, family, and community
• How to show up in supportive, meaningful ways
Whether you’re someone currently struggling, a loved one seeking to better understand, or simply looking to learn more, we invite you to watch the recording and gain a deeper perspective on eating disorders from those who have lived it.
